Information About Bradenton, Florida Area

Originally spelled, “Bradentown,” this area was first discovered in 1539 by the famous Spanish expedition led by Hernando De Sota. Later established in 1842, and finally incorporated in 1903, the town was named after Dr. Joseph Braden whose fort-like home served as a refuge for early settlers during the Seminole Indian attacks. Today, Bradenton is the largest city of the Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area and is home to over 50,000 residents.
Bradenton has a colorful and storied past, and many of the original historic sites still stand today. The historical attractions include the Braden Castle Park Historic District, the Iron Block Building, the Old Manatee County Courthouse, and the Peninsular Telephone Company Building, just to name a few.

Extremely professional and they get the job done. After using 2 other property management companies without results, we decided to try Gulf Coast Property Management.
